There are a couple of things to consider when choosing the right rollator size for you – compact, regular or wide. Most people can fit more than one size. Ask yourself where you plan to use your rollator, and then pick one that fits you – and your environment.
Handle height
When deciding on which size to get, the first thing to consider is the height of the handles. The handle height on all our models is adjustable, however differs in terms of much between the rollator models.
The height of the rollator handles must be able to match the height of your wrists, measured when standing.

How to: measure the height from the floor up to your wrist and then compare with the handle heights available on our rollators to see which ones might be compatible with you.
Since your arms will be at a slight angle forward as you grip the handles, we recommend adding one or two centimeters to your measured wrist height.
P.S. Remember to measure your height while wearing shoes as well if you plan to use your rollator outside.
Getting the correct handle height is important, as it enables you to walk upright and not be hunched over when using the rollator.
Seat height
The seat height is not adjustable, but it differs between the compact and the regular/wide models.

The compact model seat height is 56 cm, while the regular and wide models are both at 61 cm.
The Carbon Overland has a seat height of 62 cm.
To find out which one that fits you best, try finding a chair in your home with a height close to our rollators. You can try raising its height by using books, pillows, or other fabrics.
It is important to easily be able to get in and out of the rollator seat, so try sitting in the chair you found and see if you’d be comfortable getting in and out of it frequently.
How much you tend to use the seat matters for your choice of model. If you rely on the seat for frequent rests, a wider seat will be a more comfortable option. If you won’t be sitting a lot and you are fine with doing a bit of salsa when getting in and out of the seat, then a slimmer model would be a good match.
Hip width
When getting in and out of the seat, it is important that your hip width is less than the width between the handles on your rollator. You can still use your rollator even if it is a bit too narrow around the handles, but you may need to do a bit of a salsa to get into the seat.
You should also consider whether you often wear thick coats (especially in the winter) or other things around your waist, as you would then need a bit extra space.

New confidence in walking.
this relatively light, but robust new Rollator is very helpful. Previously I was using two crutches and finding walking beginning to get painful and difficult. I get more support, and am able to walk better ,and yet have vital security from falling down . I was impressed how I can now walk down steep hills - breaking slightly all the way and coming up the steep hill is far easier than with crutches. , I’m disappointed with all the extras, they are not secure -particularly the cane holder. But the Rollator can almost get me to the seas edge, over bumpy grass, light sand and shingle.heavy shingle it had to lifted over….so nearly but not quite possible to push it . I accept I was expecting slightly too much from it and overall I’m very happy to have found it. in the cane holder, it keeps on slipping falling off and when I filled the Rota the stick can’t remain there. Similarly, I find the bags a bit insecure. The best thing about the relator is that you can get me to the seas Edge can get me through tough grass light sand and light shingle but when the shingle gets deeper I then have to lift it. I accept I can’t expect more from such a light nimble machine.

No longer feel 250
As I'm only in my 60's I felt like an old woman using my previous walker but the design and colour (rose gold) of this makes a difference. I love that this takes that feeling away it's more stable on sloping pavements and gravel also much lighter to lift not used off road yet but it's giving me confidence to try (hoping to go on Quantocks again). Ordered the big front bag and use the smaller back bag (included) as a handbag as its been well thought out it makes shopping so much easier as my main problem is balance so there is easy access to both bags whilst still being supported. Am so glad I made this purchase it's expensive but worth it.

Game changer
I have a form of ataxia which means my balance is very unreliable, especially out of the house. I’ve been using a walking stick for a while which is helpful to a degree but it does very little to prevent falls of which I have had so many. I’ve only had my overland rollator for a week so I haven’t yet tested it fully but I had two hospital visits this week and it was so helpful. I’m starting to love it! I don’t want to become dependent on it but that’s up to me isn’t it? So light I can easily get it in and out of the car easily and it doesn’t look or feel like a mobility aid. It’s so well made, manoeuvrable and intuitive and most of all I feel safer walking, especially in more crowded places. I definitely need it so I don’t know why I waited so long to get it. I hope it continues to support me over rougher ground. I feel it will.

Rosie Rollator
I recently purchased a rose gold byacre overland rollator, in rose gold. Straight out of the box, she looked stylish, and I couldn't wait to take her out. After a quick alteration to the handle height we were off. Firstly to lift her down my back door step, oh so light. Walked over to the park and felt myself walking straighter. No vibrations thru my hands on rough ground, wow, love her, and when I needed a rest, she had a comfortable seat. Best rollator I've had, and I've had a few over the years

5 Stars
Its a clear 5 stars Having CMT the greatest risk is falling over so I have walked looking at the ground by my feet whether on 1 or two sticks / poles. The result is not seeing ones surroundings, poor posture and having to avoid uneven ground and slopes. The freedom the Overland Rollator is amazing, the feeling being unsteady has gone . I can enjoy my surroundings return to the outdoors in the gardens and countryside I love. My wife says my posture is better when using the rollator and we can enjoy the outdoors better together. The design features, light weight and the stunning design make one feeling so lucky to have it. Its just Brilliant thank you so much

Rollator great, back support pretty worthless
I purchased the byAcre Overland (wide) and am pleased with it so far, although with limited use due to snowy weather. It makes walking on asphalt streets or other uneven surfaces much easier. And I'm glad I bought the wide version as I do feel it allows me to walk within the wheels and I'm thus more able to walk upright without leaning over. I would give the rollator alone 5*. However, I purchased the back support and strongly recommend against it. It's far too low on my back (and I'm short) and the extremely glossy, smooth finish means that when I do lean against it, the back support just moves downward toward my butt. It's pretty worthless. Making it out of a different material would help but in general it somehow needs to be mounted higher.

Byacre overland rollator
I previously had the Byacre carbon ultra light which was a great little rollator, but I needed something to use on rough ground and for taking away with me on holiday and to be able to use on the beach, which I could not do with the ultra light. This overland rollator is brilliant for doing just what I wanted it for and virtually glides over the uneven ground without jarring my arms and neck. If you need a rollator that is quite robust, then this is the one for you, but otherwise the carbon ultra light is a great lightweight rollator.

Practical and easy to use
Have only been out a couple of times with the new rollator but finding it very easy to use. It is heavier than my other (3-Wheel one) but it worked well on grass and uneven ground. It was also nice to have the comfortable seat. What I especially liked - and I couldn't remember seeing it mentioned in the video - was the little foot marking by the rear wheel to assit in getting up a kerb. That has been especially helpful.

Freedom and Autonomy
Hi there, I just wanted to say how much I love my byACRE Carbon Overland! It’s given me real freedom and autonomy — I can now go for river walks with my dog, taking little rests whenever I need to. It’s sturdy, light, and moves beautifully even on uneven ground. I feel safe and independent again, which means the world to me. Thank you for making something so well designed and life-changing! Warm regards, Maria

By Acre overlander
I already had the By Acre carbon ultralight but encouraged by the previous review of a gentleman who purchased it especially for his trip,to the Lake District We were also having a week there, and getting to,places otherwise impossible it seemed a good idea as we had booked a week there too having just returned I can report that It certainly managed the rugged and uneven paths we went on, however it does require more strength to manoeuvre it. A point to bear in I’d if you are more elderly, like myself At home, it will useful for the moorland paths in our area, but will use the lightweight one for eating out and visits to town

Great beginning, I have new found freedom and mobility. Very pleased with quality and functionality of my Overland. Only small downside is the seat; backrest adjustment to where it supports my back is a little difficult but will experiment more on that aspect. I have lots of notices from folks I meet on walks and have offered them tryouts on my machine; also handed out Ambassador cards. Many thanks!…Mike

byACRE Overland
This rollator arrived fully assembled, complete with a small bag. It is so easy to use. It is light and folds in half for easy storage. The large wheels and suspension make it comfortable over bumpy ground. My wrist no longer aches from using a walking stick and now I can sit and rest when I need to. I am very pleased with my purchase. Fab colour too!

Good, but not transformative.
I have found that the Overland definitely helps with off road walking and has opened up new walks for me, as I had hoped. But it does still struggle with rough or rutted ground and with surfaces that have large stones on them. So there are some country walks that it doesn’t handle well. I am pleased with the fact that it has opened up new walks for me, but have to recognise that there are limits to what it can do and that it is not transformative. A more minor point is that the backrest accessory is too difficult for me to fit, so that I do not use it.

Amazing rollater. Easy to use, fantastic quality.
Wish I had bought one sooner. The quality , the ease of use. It’s so versatile and stylish. Lightweight but strong and the seat is so comfy. Got lots of smiles as I walked along. Such a huge difference for me to walk further and feel safe. Can’t express enough how delighted I am.

Classy and robusf
I had already bought the Carbon light rollator and liked the design very much. I ❤️ the fact that it’s light and snazzy but I did feel the bumps in the pavement. (A friend thought I was exaggerating that, however). I decided to order the Overland and find it is worth it. The larger pneumatic wheels make a difference although they do not eliminate bumps. I can walk without being so aware of them and think that is well worth the expense. I shall use the compact light one for buses and, eventually, round the house and garden paths. On both these, the forward-facing handles enable me walk upright and stride along. I now have whole days without much pain and can walk further which helps me sleep better and feel freer and more independent. My advice is to choose the Overland if you can manage the small amount of extra weight and size.

Great walker!
I ordered this walker, as I feel more stable and safe with it. The brakes allow you do apply gradual pressure when you are faced with a decline, which I find very reassuring. I will be using this walker all the time whenever I leave the house. Why? Because the state of our paths and walkways in the uk are atrocious- or is that only Kent? Either way, the state of disrepair which we have to encounter is hazardous, and my solution is this model of walker. Also, the seat is very comfortable!
