Nitro Euro Style 3-wheel Rollator Rolling Walker

I've been using rollators (specifically 3 wheel) my entire life (I'm 42). This rollator is the first significant change in the typical 3 wheel rollator design in 20 years. The frame is aluminum, but the redesign has changed the center of gravity so that the wheels stay firmly on the ground. Typically only heavier steel framed rollators perform like this. The larger wheels make going over rough terrain a breeze, and the center of gravity makes walking up and down curbs much easier. It has tucked brake lines and there's nothing "sticking out" of the frame (most other designs have handle adjusting bolts that stick out) this makes it much easier to take in and out of a car without damaging paint on the vehicle or catching on things while walking in tight spaces. The bag redesign is nice too, with it almost acting more like a basket than a bag without talking up any extra space. It folds up very slim, but maintains its balance, so getting through tight spaces and tucking it away when not in use is simple. The frame lock that keeps the walker locked open sits a little low for my taste, because I like to be able to quickly lock and unlock the frame to squeeze into tight spaces, but overall a great, great rollator for anyone that has a need for a rollator that is sturdy, light, versatile, and compact. Nothing extra, just exactly what you need to walk around independently. If your in the market for a rollator and don't require the extra stability of a four wheel rollator, this should be the one you purchase. Would love to see a carbon fiber version like they did with the four wheel nitro.

Piece of Junk

While this walker is very cute and easy to use. The brakes don’t work at all. Instead of sending it back we took it to a high end bicycle shop to have them fix the brakes. They had three of their guys working on it and told us no charge we can’t do anything with this. They called it junk with plastic wheels and plastic brakes they will never grab. I wish I had the box I would return in a heartbeat.

Sassy and stable ride

The overall design is young and fresh. I like the larger wheels because it makes the bike more stable and easier to maneuver. It folds up perfectly. It fits in every backseat and I can easily set it aside in a restaurant or a theater without getting in anyone’s way.

My red three wheeler Rollator Rolling Walker is such a pleasure to use on my early morning walks. It is light weight but very sturdy and safe. I look forward to loading it in my car and visiting the Ringling Museum and grounds, the mall and many other fun places. It only weighs about 12 pounds so It is easy for me to handle. Thank you for giving me such freedom.

A Good Rollator for my indoor needs

I actually own a high quality (expensive) rollator that I use extensively when I leave the house. Hence the wheels get dirt, salt etc. on them so it is stored in our garage. I required a clean “leave in the house” rollator. Although I usually stagger/lumber about the house indoors by hanging on to furniture etc. however, I honestly realize that there are times (especially in the middle of the night) when my wonkiness requires more support. This Nitro Drive rollator fills the bill for me! It has a smaller footprint, and the manouverability is absolutely perfect! Also, as recommended by my physiotherapsts, it does not have those dangerous type of extended brake wires (like some other rollators have) that can easily get caught on door handles. However, the Nitro does have some issues that are not problematic for me personally, but might be for others! 1. The wheel tires are treadless, so no good gripping of surfaces on them. Hence, not that great to use outside on varying surfaces. 2. To engage the hand brakes (which requires squeezing the handles and the brake handles at the same time), you require excellent hand strength .. just a frail/weak grip WILL NOT engage those brakes to totally STOP the movement of this rollator! 3. Furthermore, to engage the “parking” brake, you REALLY have to push down forcibly … again, it requires strength! I’m a strong woman with great upper body strength, but due to permanent complications from surgery, my lower body is now very compromised, so for me, this rollator is PERFECT! But I would NOT recommend this particular style for someone who is overall frail, because it just is not safe to “stop on a dime when really needed”! 4. The price is the lowest here that I could find AND it comes fully put together! BONUS!!!!

The best three Wheel Rollator

I’ve had to order several different types of walkers and had to return them they were not Sturdy. This is the five star three wheel rollator I ever had it is definitely a keeper. Easy to maneuver and a pleasure when you go out to restaurants it certainly deserves five stars.Definitely a buy

Easy

Light weight, maneuvers with ease. More compact for travel and for storage in a restaurant setting(in comparison) to a four wheeled walker. Not as stable as a standard walker but that’s offset with ease of use.

Geriatric Tricycle

It is very stable and Carry bag is helpful. It is light weight, folds compactly which makes it easy to put in the car.

Getting Around!!

I use this device when I'm traveling in our car. It fits well in the trunk and is light enough for easy handling. My only suggestion would relate to the wheel/brake setup. The wheels have a very smooth surface and the brakes are almost ineffective.

narrow and flemsy

the support bracket does not open wide enough for me to step into the walker for proper gait & upper body support. It looks like there is a place for a mid way support bracket which would be great. It tends to lean when I turn because all the torque is on the front wheel.

Excellent light sturdy rollater

Sturdy, light, travels nice, easy and light to put in car. Nice storage basket. Runs well inside and out. If used outside keep in mind there is no seat. Everything on this rollater works well.

Great purchase

It comes already assembled, ready to use. Easy to operate. Best walker for my husband that we have found. Larger wheels make it very compatible for outside as well as inside.

the 4 wheeler id ok just extremely difficult to fold up and a little heavy. is the 3 wheeler any easier?

The walker is just what I needed to walk longer distances. However, it is to short for my height 6' 4". I have to lean over too much when I walk. So, I ordered the four wheel Nitro Euro for tall users. However, none available until Jan 23, 2024.

Good for in-house/ limited space environments.

This item is more compact than the 4wheel Rollator and no seat so good for my wife inside the house. All cables are housed in the framework so not vulnerable to getting caught on outside items. It is easy to turn and has hand breaks for slowing or parking. Still is a sturdy mobile walker.

Great product

Light and easy to fold up. Nice wheels. Looks sleek and aerodynamic for high speed strolling— Olympic bound Tokyo grandma.

FOLDING

The lock mechanism for folding the frame is very clumsy and hard to operate. There is a pretty good chance to pinch your fingers. It needs impovement. P.S. I am a mechanical engineer and I know what I'm talking about.

Sturdy and well-designed walker overall

Walker seems sturdy so far - my latest 3 wheeled walker became wobbly within a few months of purchase despite tightening everything that could be tightened - definitely not what you want in a walker. This Drive Nitro seems solidly built and therefore worth the extra cost. (If only their cup holder, purchased separately, were as well-designed ....) Wheels are large enough to handle the bumpy parking lot surface. Bag is really spacious (but I would have put the reflective strip on the front and sides rather than the zippered top). I like the enclosed brake cables - I've used tape on other walkers to keep cables from snagging on things - not a great look. I appreciate the Walmart price, too.

It’s light weight and easy to transport. However, I’m learning how to adjust my balance to use the 3 wheels. Perfect for getting in and out of small places.

Nice and sturdy, takes less room n car than 4 wheels. Brakes had to be adjusted and not as easy as my Drive 4 wheel

This item worked wonderful for my husband. He got a lot of good comments from strangers when he used it. I highly recommend it if your loved one is struggling with his walking.

Nice

It's worth the extra cost for his brand. It's a sturdy rollator just the right size for me and it fits in the back seat of my car (folded). I can lift it (unlike the one I have like it with 4 wheels.) With three wheels it could get a little unstable but I have had no trouble. I got it to take to town to shop and go to events.

Getting used to it.

The walker is great; however, it took my husband some time to learn how to use it. Neither his OT or PT therapists are 100% on board. It is very stylish.

Excellent!

Quite stable, no loose parts to assemble, no external brake cables to catch on things. A distinct improvement over its predecessor.

Help is needed in returning the item.

Wheel base too wide and doesn’t fit as easily through my doorways at Home or behind my carseat. Just isn’t what I was hoping for and need to return it.

Three-wheeled walker.

A three-wheel walker is an excellent product. Easy to operate. It's safe.

Purchased for my mother.

She loves it. It gives her the chance to go places she was unable in the past. It seems like everyone she meets on the street wants one!!

The Nitro is a well designed and built machine. I hope the plastic, not metal, wheels can hold up.
