Description
This clinical care Geri chair recliner by Drive Medical is ideal for use in dialysis, blood collection, respiratory and cardiac care. It shifts into four positions: upright, TV, full recline and Trendelenburg. Both recline and Trendelenburg positions are controlled by a gas cylinder and can only be attained by an attendant and a convenient release handle can be operated from either side of the recliner. The product includes a large, blow-molded tray that includes a recess for a cup. The comfortable "built-in" headrest and wide, comfortable, padded arm rests were constructed at an angle to provide support, even in a reclined position. The 5" casters (2 complete with locks) allow for simple movement and security of the recliner. With a neutral-colored, sturdy steel frame, the chair is easy to clean and maintain, with side panels that pop off for cleaning and maintenance. All foam and vinyl meet California Flammability standards, and the product also meets both standard and Boston Fire Department specifications. The upholstery comes available in the following colors: blue ridge, jade and rosewood.

CHAIR IS IN POOR CONDITION
The chair is in poor condition. Arms are bent. Wheels don’t spin. Tear in the cushion.

Nice chair but there are issues
This chair seems to be very good quality, cushioning is nice, it was not too hard to put together. It is hard to steer when pushing from behind, not sure why, and the trays on the sides rattle on some surfaces, making a lot of noise. Sometimes it pushes forward best at an angle. The other thing is that the person who I bought this for is about 200 lbs and cannot move on his own. It is extremely hard to adjust the chair to recline properly once he is placed in the chair., or even to go back to sitting from reclining. The chair either will not move at all, or wants to lie back so far that it seems like he might be dumped out on his head. The nursing home staff has a very difficult time getting him positioned and they grumble about this chair frequently. However, once positioned, he seems very comfortable, and the chairs they can provide have no padding left and are in disrepair.

Bad Chairs
These chairs are not efficient for an infusion room. First, they are narrow which isn't good for some of our overweight patients. Secondly, the material is very stiff and uncomfortable. Most importantly, they only lock on the back two wheels, making the whole chair shake and shift when a patient sits in them. They feel very unsafe and we have already had some complaints from patients. There isn't a lever for the patient's to pull on to recline, therefore making it confusing to work the chair, especially for our older patients who need assistance. The quality of the chairs is cheap and substandard for a fast paced infusion room.

Geri Chair Clinical Care Recliner Review
This chair recliner is very useful for us as well as our patients. This chair can be easily moved to any place with the help of wheels and we use this for multiple purposes in our hospital. We are even able to adjust this chair to different positions depending on the operations required for the patients.

Worth The Price
The chair is robust, and provides superb comfort and safety. It works well for my 85 yrs. old invalid mother. She looks forward to getting up and out of bed know, thanks to this chair... great addition to her overall home care and comfort.

Quality Chair
Filled our needs very well. Seems sturdy. So far it is working well for our patients - we use it as a chair to administer shots and do testing in. The ability to lay flat is great for any patient with a potential vasovagal response.

The chair's function
The chair is not practical nor safe for the patient. The functions are limited and the positions not comfortable nor safe for the patient.

Good quality but somewhat impractical
The seat is quite high up for the person to get onto and it takes 2 people to make it recline.
