Not stable
I purchased this so my mother could eat in her recliner. The recliner has bars on each side so regular c tables wouldn’t work. The main structure is nice and strong, but it is designed is designed poorly. The contraption has to be placed away from the arm of the chair so the recliner can go back. This shortens it’s reach and causes a tripping hazard. The table top doesn’t have a ratchet system or lock. At times the top will swivel quickly and things fly off. It also will jerk up when I am trying to raise it. There is no lip, so things can slip off when moving the tray. And, the table top slants, it isn’t a flat surface. It is a shame. Good idea but poor design.

Drive Medical Seat Lift Chair Table
We like the tables very much but the various heights of the tables which are moveable up and down (a good thing) do not take into account the height of the wide arms of the recliner. As a result, when the table is at a height high enough to close over the chair arms for use for dining, they are chest high; not allowing you to eat comfortably, so to get them down to a normal tray level, you cannot close the swivel side of the tray because it crushes into the chair arm and will not close so you can sit back in the chair and eat. Consequently, you have to eat with the tray half-closed or closed at chest high level.

Directions for assembly are confusing. If you place leg of chair on pad as instructed, cannot use the lift feature of the chair as the table is in the way. This tables does not work well with the VivaLift Ultra Lift Chair. Disappointed!

My wife is a watercolor artist. Because she has a bad back, she is forced to work from her recliner. We've tried several other options but we have found that this table is by far the best solution. It is sturdy & stable, has an adequately sized work surface and is reasonably easy to swing around. It's also good for use with a computer, meals, crafting, etc. The top bolt was difficult to install but I managed to force it to align and all went well. We are VERY happy with this purchase.

I bought the table that had the handles to assist with getting out of chairs. I’ve used it next to my bed because I love how the table rotates 360°, so this means that I can slide the tape all over when I’m in bed to set something on and then slide it out of the way. I’m currently planning on buying a second one to put under my couch the end of my couch.

Great table. Built to last.
Bought this for my wife. It is a great table and I highly recommend it. I just forgot that my wife has one of those super large recliners and the table barely went over the arm of it. But if you are using it on a regular recliner, It is a great product. Built to last a long time.

This table made it possible
This table made it possible for my husband to reach his phone and computer with his limited ability. For this I am extremely gratified. The only comments from his caregivers are that they think the table is a bit flimsy or not sturdy enough.
Happy to be able to find a table for my recliner.
I love everything about this table. Just be aware, left or right refers to LOOKING AT CHAIR, NOT SITTING IN IT. Also, if your chair has curved sides you may have to adjust the placement.

This table has been a lifesaver for my disabled husband. Its very sturdy and stays put. The swing top makes is a space saver too. The only downside is its hard to lower, my husband cant do it on his own. Overall good purchase.

Do not like this table.
Do not like this table. It does not stay in position on the floor. Constantly has to be adjusted every time chair is raised or lowered. Not worth the money.

Perfect for my computer...
Always struggled for a place to put my computer but this table was a perfect solution. Can easily slide it out of my way and get up out my chair without any problems.

I like it another but
I like it another but I wish it didn't have the ridge in front on floor base. Tend to step on it sometimes. Should just be flat.

Easy to build
The side for a recliner was super easy to build.

Good EXCEPT….
Sometimes it’s difficult to push the lever to have it go up or down. I can’t do it from my lift chair but have to stand up %26 either push down while using lever or pull up. One day I won’t be able to do that so then what? I live alone.

Requires a lot of space to work as intended
This is a very sturdy, well made table. It is difficult to slide under a lift chair and keep it there. The main problem we have encountered is that when the table is at a good height for using you must always remember to use the lift mechanism to raise the table or as the chair lifts it sends everything on the table flying. It is difficult/impossible for my mother to operate that mechanism when seated. This would not be an issue if we could place her chair where she had a full two feet to the side of it with nothing there. The table will easily swivel. The problem is space. If, like me, the room is equipped for convalescent care (hospital bed, lift chair, potty chair, plus dresser, bookcase and TV stand) there is no extra space.

Just What the Doctor Ordered
I bought this table for my mom who, due to severe arthritis and a series of falls, spends almost all her time in her recliner. She had been trying to eat her meals from a tray on her lap, and she had trouble reaching for and finding things on tables next to her. This table went together easily and works perfectly. It made meals so much easier for her, and because of the way it swings away so quickly and easily, she has no trouble moving it herself when she wants to get up. The base of it is anchored by the chair, itself, so it's not at all wobbly. It has made her life a lot easier, and she's thrilled with it. I only wish I'd found it sooner.

Replaced a tv dinner tray stand nicely!
I ordered this for my client to replace his regular tray. It saves so much space and the fact that it can be turned in a complete 360* makes it nicer. Only complaint is the screws are difficult to get tightened with larger tools (should include mini ones like some products do for tight fit assembly like this). Only other flaw we found is the lever doesn't have to be pushed to lower or higher the shelf. Oh and we had to oil inside the assembly bar because it was incredibly squeaky as you turn it. Other than those minor flaws that can be dealt with, this is a great product for it's price.

Very handy
I am using this table with a rocker recliner and the chair arm width might not be the best for the table, but I have the base of the table anchored under another piece of furniture for safety so it works fine. Since the table top rotates a full 360 degrees I am able to turn the table top and use it for my lap top computer without any problems. A work of CAUTION - in the assembly instructions you are instructed to remove a screw which releases the hydraulic pressure on the table upright. When you do this DO NOT be standing above the upright. The release of the hydraulic will cause the upright to shoot up and it would cause serious injury - even knock someone out if they are hit by it.
A Multi-purpose wonder!
This has been a great boon to me. A disability makes it hard for me to stand or sit upright for long periods, making it impossible for me to work. This allows me at least to use my laptop computer and/or do craft projects semi-reclining. It's great! It needs better "feet" to keep it from slipping on bare floors, but that's easy to add. And it needs plenty of room around it to swing the tray around. The only real problem is that the tray is VERY hard to raise and lower. Depends on friction, so it's very tight. It certainly can't be done while sitting in the chair.

Perfect Solution for a Recliner
This table replaced a standard hospital-bed table on wheels that my mother (age 91) had been using at her recliner chair. The legs on the former table prevented her from elevating the foot of her recliner, and the table surface was not able to move close enough to her torso to provide comfortable dining. The new table solved these problems. My mother is extremely difficult to please, but she approved of this table without a single complaint. The only way to improve the new table would be to provide an indentation in the table surface in which to place a water cup.
