Great on several fronts

I have been using these for years now and they are irreplaceable to me. They fit me always. The main plus it that I don't have to undress (pants, braces, shoes, and all of it back on in a public bathroom), not to mention that none of that gets in the wet or whatever is on that floor. It is simple to just unhook the straps, get rid of the used diaper, replace it and go on. And it holds a lot of fluid, too. Genius!

INCONTINENCE BELTED SHIELD

The one size fits all for this PREVAIL BELTED SHIELDS EXTRA INCONTINENCE is not for at all for both male and female use. The absorption is not as advertised by the maker and the fit does not work for me at all. I made an error by ordering two packs as I found the price to be very reasonable. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS INCONTINENCE UNDERGARMENT TO ANYONE WHOSE WAIST IS GREATER THAN 32 INCHES!!!

GOOD MIDDLE-GROUND OPTION

I think I have reviewed these before. That's good because so often reviews are requested before one really has a chance to use the product. I find these work very well. Probably not as absorbent as a tabbed diaper but good enough for daytime. Easy to put on and change. Obviously not popular as I only find two brands selling this type. Economical and a good middle-ground between guards and pullups. I find them comfortable. Not for really heavy people I don't think.

Excellent product

I have only used the Prevail belted shields only once for my nocturnal enuresis, but I was delighted with the snug and comfortable fit even when rolling over on my side at night-no leakage. These are the best for my daytime mixed incontinence when changing soiled diapers in public restrooms. Will buy again.

Prevails' qualities

I am a large woman and the shields fit well. when I tried other briefs, they were too big and unfitted so they were cumberson and did not hold the urine. The Prevails fit right in the crouch area and it gives me true relief to know my diaper will catch any leakages.

Could be better, and they used to be

The undergarments have a button hole that will often tear out. The hole is sometimes not centered in the reinforced area where the button from the straps goes through. Seems like that reinforced area is also thinner and weaker, which makes it even easier to tear. The straps are also worse -- they become inelastic after a couple washes. They used to last for 6 months, now maybe just 1 month

Prevail Pads Work!

I have been using these pads for at least 5 years. They keep me dry, allowing me to be assured of no accidents. I prefer these pads that use a belt. They fit close to my body which makes me feel very secure.

Product leaks.

Straps seem too long for smaller waists. I've had product leak as it does not fit tight on body. Thought I'd give this product a try, and due to the aforementioned, I will not purchase again.

Almost good protection

I have both central neuropathy and incontinence. No feeling and no control. I am also large, so something that works for a smaller person might not work for me just because of my size. Adult diapers cause sweating, moisture that must also be removed. The elastic bands on these also cause sweating and need to be dried between uses. These absorb enough to handle single accidents but, when I don't notice or check, fail to absorb multiple accidents. Because of my size, they sometimes become uncomfortable. They will probably work well for many people but are marginal for my use. It is nice to be able to replace them without having to remove and replace my pants.

LL Medico is very easy to order from. Love the free shipping.

Wish they were more absorbent. Maybe a little shorter and thicker. But, so far this is the best. I get them by the case.

Prevail Belted Shields

I've been using these for a number of years. They are very absorbent and make me feel very secure. I've been recommending them to everyone that I know who wears pads. The caregivers I have recommended them to have been impressed with their design. They seemed to think that they would be especially good for men.

All other are not what i am looking for. The only thing that might work is Depent for man because...

Your outer material it has to be plastic (soft plastic) if is any kind of cloth it will get wet and it stains your pants. If you urinate too much or your have dhiarrea it will eventually soak thru the outer material.

Superb if upright

I like the convenience of these Belted Shields. I am ambulatory. They work well in upright or seated positions. However, when reclined or lying flat, the urine flows away from the center before it can be absorbed. There is a blue rectangle in the center of the shield. I assume it is an absorbent gel. I wish it were wider and longer. These are great for daytime use only.

Easy to manage, better than pull up kind

My mom who is 89 said she prefers these because they are easier to manage than the underwear kind you pull up. Those were always too binding at the top around her stomach and made her too hot (we live in Florida, plastic pants and humidity don't feel comfortable at all!). A neighbor gave her a sample to try, then we bought these and now just ordered more because they are working out very well. It allows her to maintain her independence and feel comfortable too.

They're good enough

They're good enough. I wish the elastics were about 2 inches longer. As a quadriplegic they work good. They do leak at night if I'm sleeping on my side. Otherwise I'm thankful to have something.

Could be better

The belt concept is great. They are larger than regular pad and you don't have to get undressed like a pull-up. So it its the best of both except the belt sucks, they twist, dig in and just not a comfortable solution. I wish there was a better belt solution and happy to pay to get better belts. If you wear them everyday like I do this belt will annoy you to no end These are a good value and fit my needs-its just the actual belt that's a problem.

prevail belted shields, extra

My husband tried these shields once. He could not tolerate the belt. He also tried to wear the shields without the belt and that was not practical. The quality is ok, but design not good for him. Is it possible to get a refund? He did open package and tried one.

The belted shields are exactly

The belted shields are exactly what I need. As they have buttons to use with the belt/elastic, it makes the shields comfortable for me and my needs. I wouldn't be without them.

Ordered these to try them and decide if they are worth ordering again. Started using them and they seemed good but then after I used 6 of them the elastic strap broke and I can't get another strap. So, I can't use the remaining undergarments because I have no elastic strap to hold them up. Don't buy these because if the one strap they include in the package breaks then you cant get a replacement.

I have figured out the best way to control my inconsistencies. After I use a pull up your product I add a pad inside. Your price is the same that I can get at a local retail store but convenience by buying 4 packages. Is there a coupon available?

Several items were unusable due

Several items were unusable due to lack of spaces to attach straps. This is not the first time this has happened. They are expensive, especially when on a fixed income. I need to look for some other brand.

Prevail "Belted" Shields

Putchased the 30-count package but didn't get around to opening the package until after the 30-day return date. Can't accurately determine how "effective" this product is, as when I did open the pack, turned out there was NO BELT included, as advertised! I took every pad out (there were only 29 in a pack of "30") and searched for the supposed "belt" included..nothing!!! Consequently, I am unable to attest to the worth or lack thereof of this product! It would be nice if someone would bother to send me the lousy BELT so I could finally USE this product!!

Excellent professional grade product

This is a professional grade product that is used in the nursing industry. Product makes it easy to put on and super absorbent for overnight use.

Call Me Old Fashioned

ImI don’t wear adult diapers. I’m a para (40+ yrs) and have always used an belted undergarment with my traditional under wear. These hold up and are absorbent between ICs for me and love that I don’t feel hot and bulky with a traditional diaper on.

Source: Google Products

Been using them for many years. I find these to be the best protection on any pads I have ever used. If I have an accident I do not have to undress to change them and the absorb more then the pull ups.

Good, but some problems

I like the Prevail pads because of the length and the side straps that hold them on securely. I have a problem especially some night with the pad leaking when I get up to go to the bathroom. Also, the elastic along the sides of the pads tends to rub and irritate in the crevice area.

Great Product for minor leakage

With the elastic belts holding the pad in place, you have two distinct advantages over the adhesive pad: 1) you can urinate in the bathroom without removing your pants, using the usual method. 2) If you need to replace the pad it can be done without removing your pants. I found the adhesive pads would not hold their position when you had to pull them aside when using the toilet. These are meant for minor dribbling, and are not to be used as a diaper. Great product.

I did not like these

I did not like these at all. I thought the belt as a good idea but as disappointed to ee you had to put it on each individual pair. The absorbant was not up to my needs and the fit was not good.

Great pads if you remember to remove the elastic belt

The pads themselves were fine. They were actually great. The only downside for me were that they only came with one belt per bag. My mom has dementia and doesn’t remember to take off the belt. There is a slip of paper in the bag that states to send money for additional belts. This is the only downside with this purchase. I have 3 bags with no belt so they are basically useless.

Too bulky for Jeans and leggings etc. Good for bedtime.

Nice concept, but too bulk for daytime use for me. Will wear when I have a cold or flu. I'll give some to a friend and store away the rest for when I really need them. Tonight Ill try at bedtime and see if it will work for small leak from hopping out of my high rise bed.

Poor manufacturing

Love this product and have been using for years. But lately manufacturing hasn’t been up to par. Order 2-3 bags per month and each bag has had 1-3 shields that are unusable.

Prevail belted shields do a

Prevail belted shields do a great job of holding the urine that wants to escape. I have time to change them before any leakage occurs. They do absorb a large amount of moisture.

You can remove when needed, without having to remove your pants.

With COVID came bladder control issues for me. Finally I found a product that can be changed without removing your outer garments. I have had to fully urinate into it and it held all without leaks. I highly recommend.

Great for day use

These are really handy to use during the day. Unlike pull ons they are easy to change with no need to removing clothing and unlike the wrap-around diapers they are easy pull ups.

Ended up being absolutely horrible! The belts were to short to give any comfort at all! Dug into skin and the elastic sewn around legs was so uncomfortable, it was a waste of money,

Source: Google Products

Have successfully used Prevail for 5 years now. Never had a leak thru, fit Comfortable. Elastic straps are fine. I will use forever.

Too small

While my waist size falls within the size guidelines, they aren't long enough for the elastic to reach my waist. Instead they only go partway up my hips making them too small. if the elastic was a bit more generous or the pad part longer, they would work.

It says one size fits most. All the brands here in town fit me, but these do not. If you are even chubby, I would not recommend them.

Perfect to wear in public

I was looking for a pad to help me when I dribble. It must also allow me to use a public urinal. Other products require one to pull down their pants, and those that are supposed to stick to your underwear: don’t! The elastic straps hold the pad in place and allows you to move it to urinate and then return the pad to its proper place.
