Thank God for plastic backed pads!
Old skool plastic backed pads are now quite difficult to find. And although their breathable counterparts have their advantages, for me nothing compares to the security offered by this type of pad. I took a chance with the ID's as they looked like another budget product that seemed to good to be true. However, what a pleasant surprise! While their absorption quote of 3600ml might be a bit ambitious, their performance is still impressive. They can cope with flooding and overnight use and haven't leaked once so far. However... they are seriously noisey! So best to have a vest or something that can cover them and reduce the noise. Also watch out for chafing around the thighs, but this shouldn't be a problem if you look after your skin. For overall protection, IMO these are hard to beat.
