ByAcre carbon ultralight rollator

This is my second rollator. The best thing about the byAcre is the lightness. I can easily put it in my boot . My illness is a myopathy and picking things up from ground level is my biggest difficulty. But l was also looking for a rollator that provided some stability over slightly more rugged terrain so that i could walk off piste with my dog. This rollator does not feel very stable to me even when walking on pavement. So although the lightness is terrific for lifting it, it does not work well for me wanting to try to maintain an outdoor life whilst l still can . I was not expecting anything suitable for all terrain, but even on small gravel stones, they get caught between the wheel and brake and impede movement. There were some very fiddly things which are not easy, in particular the small elastic toggle clip which keeps it closed when putting in the car etc. It is really hard for me to use it with arthritic figures. And the shopping basket tends not to stay attached all the time , and again , the fixing arrangement to the frame is not that easy. It is quite narrow when opened up. I am small but sitting on the seat feels a squash. Consequently, The handles are also closer together which is not so comfortable either when walking. They also feel small to hold. The enclosed brake cables work well. Sadly, for me this has not been good value for the price paid but the lightness is wonderful.

Should have bought it months ago!

Recovering from spinal decompression surgery 6 weeks ago and also had hip replacement 3 yrs ago , i’ve really struggled to go for a long walk like i used to do ! i’m 54 but got diagnosed with osteoarthritis and after my new hip 3 yrs ago i’ve struggled to walk due to the pain from the spinal stenosis and oa in knees and other hip , i was really not wanting to get a rollater as i thought id keep on trying to push on , but walking only a short distance i then have to stop and sit so this will be ideal for me and holidays and i feel i can still go out and have quality time with my husband , esp on holiday as i wouldn’t want to walk anywhere as its so painful with every step This ultralight came highly recommended from a fb group im in so i bought one and i could use klarna to pay which helps as it is an expensive item but you cant put a price on health tbh ive not used it much yet as im new to the scene of rollators plus im still in recovery from the op but so far people have commented asking where i got it the beauty of this one is its v light and i can lift it in car myself so i can go shopping on my own as my husband works away a lot wish id bought it sooner And my cat approves :)

The front wheels don’t roll real smoothly, but the physical therapist and I decided that that is because they turn 360 degree and that makes it a little different. It is beautiful and I have gotten lots of positive comments from my neighbors here at my CCRC. To my knowledge, there are 2 others here. We have about 400 residents. I took it to church yesterday and they for a little shopping. It is so much easier than the one I was using. And the Carolina Blue color is very popular here. I really don’t like having to use any assistive device, but it is what it is. I’m glad I was able to wait for this newer model. And you were so nice to work with! I can’t give you 5 stars because my life is more difficult using an assistive device, but I’ll get over it. That’s not the fault of the device or you. It’s just aging. I’ll keep those cards handy and I WILL recommend it to others. They can even try mine out. Thank you, Jane

The Best Rollator

After a lot of research I decided on Acre and I'm not disappointed. Besides looking modern and smart it's light and very easy to use. I was advised to buy the Wide version and although my hip measurements were on the borderline, wide is better than the regular size. I had tried my friend's Regular model for ease of use when sitting. I feel I have now been given a new lease of life. On my first walk using my Rollator, after being able to walk only very short distances for over a year, I walked 1.7 miles. Definitely a life changer and it's so comfortable to walk with. No stooping and a feeling of confidence and security. Definitely THE BEST.

Love my byACRE Carbon Ultralight Rollator

It really is ultra lightweight - I can lift it with one hand but usually use two as I have weak wrists. Can walk much closer to frame as the handles are reversed to my old Rollator, this keeps me more upright. The seat is good which I find very useful as I get fatigued and also it holds a heavy person (I’m a UK size 28). Brake lines are inside the struts so they don’t catch on things as you are passing, likewise the cane holder is on the inside rather than the usual outside. Finally when folded the Rollator actually lies flat on my car’s backseat.

New lease of life

well, I was very apprehensive about getting a walker, however , my new Acre ultralite seems to fit the bill. Needed something that kept me upright, rather than stooping to one side and bent, as with a walking stick. First time out, did more walking in one go,than I have done for about 18 months. It helps you stand straight, so taking pressure of the back, and the fact I could sit down when needed, meant I wasn't just looking for the next bench to sit on and could enjoy the walk instead. Being light weight, I can get it in my car myself, rather than relying on help. So, looking forward to taking it on holiday (instead of my mobility scooter) later in the year with more room in boot for clothes.

A stylish mover

I am absolutely delighted with my byACRE Ultralight Rollator. My children think it’s cool and my taxi driver marvels at how easy it is to,put in the boot. I love the look and the design. The rollator feels part of me as I walk along. When I travel on the bus it stands neatly with me as I sit in my seat. When I go out for a meal it stands unobtrusively at my table. The accompanying bag is very smart and adaptable. On the whole, although it is quite expensive, it is value for the money. My only reservation is that the seat becomes uncomfortable if sit for a long while (more than 30 mins.)

My Mercedes

Mercedes and I went out for a brief walk to the post office in the rain this morning. She is SO light! She also mounts low kerbs with no problem at all; I only had to use the kerb pedal for one very steep one – and that’s so easy once I had remembered which set of wheels they were attached to! I so much appreciate the space to stand up straight whilst walking, unlike my late mother’s rollator which I had been using. That gave me back-ache as does my walking stick. I find I walk more quickly too as she gives me confidence. My only “problem” is that I’m not sure which handle “hole” is the right position for me. I walked there with three holes showing on the shank and came back with two. I think I must be between two heights and will have to experiment with finding the most comfortable position. I love her! The seat didn’t absorb the rain either – simply brushed off. She’ll be having her first trip on the bus to Manchester on Thursday – she’ll be the envy of all the other rollator owners on the bus!

ByACRE carbon ultralight rollator

Due to ill health over the last 18 months, I had been researching rollators for most of that time. The cost of the byACRE was holding me back but I could find nothing else I liked the look of as much. After a recent stay in hospital, the need to buy a rollator increased so I gave in and bought the byACRE. I am so pleased with my choice. It has enabled me to get out walking to gain my strength back rather than sitting indoors wishing I could get out. It looks good, is easy to handle, has nice accessories. I can’t believe how excited I am to have this rollator, worth every penny!

Game Changer

I’ve got an energy limiting condition and hypermobility challenges so use a wheelchair for outings. Now, thanks to the sleek design, manoeuvrability and lightweight properties of this rollator, I can manage quick trips into shops, cafes and the post office. Negotiating doorways and smaller spaces is not a problem, plus I’ve got somewhere to perch comfortably in a queue. And the best bit is I can lift the rollator in and out of my car without hurting myself. Hello life.

Light as a feather

I wanted an ultra light rollator with an integrated seat because there is never any seating available outside hospitals /GP practices / clinics etc where I am forced to stand when awaiting for my taxi to ferry me home. This was causing me stress as other models with integrated seating are too heavy for me to lift and handle. This ultralight model is my saviour. It negotiates uneven pavements and potholes which I can meet when crossing the road. I still drive short distances and sliding this model in and out of the back seat of the car is so manageable for me as I am 85 years old and suffer from painful arthritis in both my knees and spine.I find the impromto seating a blessing when attending lunches in church halls where invariably the seating provided are plastic chairs which are much too low causing me much pain to arise from . Tha Able acre seat is the perfect height for me. I can arise from it quite painlessly.

A new lease of life

This has been such a good buy prompted by seeing one belonging to a friend. I thought I could manage with a shopping trolley and a stick but it was becoming harder and harder and aggravated an already painful back. This rollator has given me a new lease of life and walking is so much easier with it. I can definitely recommend it and, although not the cheapest on the market, the positive points of weight, ease of use, hidden cables and sleek design makes it very worthwhile. It draws admiring looks and questions from people I meet. I feel several years younger already!

Future proofing my mobilty

I hated walking prior to delivery of my byACRE ultra light rollator, now I'm enjoying getting out and about & getting some exercise again. This rollator is so beautifully light and easy to swing round to change direction. I bought the weekend bag too, which is perfect for my regular weekends away with friends. I put off buying this, due to the cost, but it's future proofed my mobility living with MS & you can't put a price on that!

Positively Transformational

What a transformational purchase, the Ultralight has totally changed me/my body for the positive. I have a progressive muscle disease which has severely reduced my mobility and has left me hardly walking with a stick and only occasionally do I use the NHS supplied heavy Rollator - overall - not much fun. Purchased an Ultralight Rollator 2 weeks ago - WOW ! what a difference I now use the Ultralight in preference to a Stick . Getting out and about is now a pleasure. I have found that I can walk quite long distances without stopping, walking around large shops is now possible - I actually walk with the Ultralight for pleasure. Leg muscles are definitely strengthening, and just generally feeling better/brighter now I am active. Very thankful that I purchased the Ultralight health wise, it also so very easy to get in/out of car and move around with. Transformational for me - Bob - 73 years
